Does anyone have the mods for a roadtalker 40 model CM 6000LA cb . It's AM only, but i can't find any info on this one......thanks !!

Sitm,

POWER ADJUST: L-106, L-109, L-110, for Maximum Forward Swing on Watt Meter.

MODULATION ADJUST: RV102 - AMC = Automatic Modulation Control for 90 to 95% Modulation on Modulation Meter.

looking for mods to put extra freqs in my sears roadtalker 40 base mobile it is the 3827 in the modle #.

Back to the begining of this thread, Do you know what PLL chip it has in it? I found a PLL list and if you radio is the, Sears 934.38270700 then it should have the SM5104 chip in it, A very modable chip indeed. I found info from the Defpom about that mod.

It's a Penneys radio (same differance) on how to do that chip for extras.

i NEED TO CHECK THE RECIEVE TRANSISTOR ON A ROADTALKER 6000 LC BUT CAN'T FIND A SCHEMATIC ON IT DOES ANYONE KNOW THE id AND LOCATION OF THIS TRANSISTOR HAD A SUDDEN RECIEVE FALLOUT AUDIO STILL THERE JUST NO OR WEAK SIGNAL COMING IN I THINK IT TOOK AN OVERLOAD FROM A CLOSE STATION RUNNING A LOT OF POWER!
