Must be counting all the "split" channels. Even then I dont think they add up to 3000. |

or counting the AM/SSB/FM/CW modes as a new band of channels. kinda like how 40 channel ssb radios are reefered to as 120 channel radios |

hmmmmmm are we talking transmit or receive or both? My Yaesu FT100D talks 1.8 Mhz to 30 Mhz 50Mhz-54 Mhz 140Mhz-174Mhz 420Mhz-470Mhz And Recieves 30Khz-961Mhz (cellular excluded) so channel wise thats? I also have AM-Digital FM-WFM CW-CWR USB-LSB,,,,,,ahhh skip it,,,,,,,,,,,,its a nice radio |

You might want to think about this one a little. Figure: 3000(channels)/40(channels per bands as this radio uses)=75 bands/5(modes of operation)=15(bands total. This still means this radio has some extreme modifications done to it. The radio should only have coverage from 25.165-28.755MHz+10Kc (8bands total), more than enough for ya'. Besides, remember that you can not transmit above 27.995MHz or below 25.000MHz. I'd advise not above about 27.855MHz or below about 25.150MHz, especially with power!!! So the extra channels will not be useful to you. |

Intresting Big bird you stated " remember that you can not transmit above 27.995MHz or below 25.000MHz". But you state also"The radio should only have coverage from 25.165-28.755MHz+10Kc " Ok is your information based on damaging the radio if you go above 28 or getting in trouble? |
