Has anyone heard anything about the Turner Sidekick 100 mic.? The picture looks like a regular Super Sidekick, but the name plate looks different, so I think it's a Turner I've never heard of. Any info would be appreciated. Bob |

My guess is this mike was used before the Turner Super Sidekick came out, and was similar to mikes such as the Lafayette Range Boost desk mike. Basically same inards, with No speech compressor. |

Thanks for the response Gonzo. I was looking at a Sidekick 100 at an auction site and was thinking about buying it, but it sold. I was thinking it might be a nice addition to my collection of old Turner microphones. Which is about 10 microphones deep so far. I have a really nice Turner 3 + B. But I would like to find one in like new shape. The one I have is near perfect but missing the plate that says Turner + 3 B. The cord is even like new and has about 8 inches of straight cord after the coils. I have a like new Turner SSB+2, and even a like new Turner + 3. But I've always liked the SSK, and the + 3 B and would like to find a like new version of both of these microphones. After those I think a like new Turner M + 3 B would end my obsession with these microphones. Thanks again Bob |

The Turner Super Sidekick is one great mike. I love the variable compressor circuit on the bottom. I think the best/loudest sounding SSB mike ever made. |
