I have posted a question that nobody knows the answer to. I was wondering what the AWI looks like. I have a Stryker & so far I really love it! I think it's a great RADIO ! I have never seen the AWI (to my knowledge) I just wanted to know what color is used & how it lets the user know SWR is high. |

Good question ..... Best way to find out is take the antenna off and make a short transmission looking at the radio for any kind of light. A well designed radio can stand short transmissions even with no antenna .... yes even with 40+ years I DO forget to put the antenna on ....... |

The AWI will flash red meter light on and off continuously while transmitting with a dangerously high SWR. It's very easy to spot. I'm very glad that your happy with your Stryker and if you have any other questions please let me know! Bruce is correct, the Stryker is fairly capable of taking a high SWR with ease. |
