I have noticed that Copper has sold a lot of Stryker radios. But I also noticed nobody has done a review on one. I would like to know if they are GOOD or BAD? PROS & CONS! Worth buying or not?

read here: http://www.copperelectronics.com/cgi-bin/discus4/board-auth.cgi?lm=1154694575&file=/29/91199.html

It's not much but hopefully someone else that has one will chime in.

Sorry, but I asked Shawn for 1 to do a review on that I would return to him after a Review on it and have yet to receive one.

There are many Copper Forum Member's who have purchased the radio from Copper Electronics and maybe one of them can do a Complete Review on it for the other Copper Forum Member's.

Or read Im4jc's POST right below Milkman21218's 1st post in this topic above.

Circuit boards in these radios are the same as the Magnum S6 and Magnum S9. However the Stryker 440 is much cleaner inside then either of those two radios. Without the top gun modulator, upon opening the covers you'd see a much cleaner design. Not the Best of the Best as far as quality circuit boards, but honestly not bad either. Ok the list of bad is pretty short. Oh one more bad thing, you'd think a company that's trying to push a new radio would supply more radios to the market. Supplies on this model are normally very short so if you want one call to see how available they are.

The good, it's full featured all round. 361 AM/FM channels, 2 roger beeps (not needed on a non-ssb chassis but they are there to simply annoy people). The radios got a working variable talkback, and has variable RF power.
This is 100% truth, you see about 55-65 watts. This is while keeping the radio cool, loud, and clean! That's pretty darn good in the watt dept. The pretty low end lighted face works pretty well actually, and is brighter then a cheap motels neon sign. But you can turn it down! Round RF meters are pretty snazzy as well. All in all, if your in the market for different, and the 440 is available you may want to check it out.
