I am not at all familiar with the tube type Nitro.I run the solid state Nitro 700.

All of the Nitro 300a's that I have ever seen were made by Trans-El and had 5 6lq6's....1 driving 4. They have a really large meter and pushbuttons for ssb etc. Not too bad looking but rather cheaply made...(ie. the way the case is designed). 73's

I RUN A 300A MADE BY TRANSEL IN INDY HONE OF THE BIG RACE IN THE 70s SSB IS BAD UNTIL YOU CHANGE THE CAP. IT HOLDS KEY TOO LONG

I had one for a while. The tubes were 60% in it. Wasn't real pleased with it. I got 500 out of it one night and it was loud but I traded it in on my D&A Maverick

looking for a tube base that will dead key 500watt not expensive im just a poor boy being steped on
