Well I got my Melaka and got it up and running. I am sorta disapointed in it. I can get good swing on AM it will dead key 7 and swing to 15. SSB is a good 12watts. It seemes to be 1.5 kcs high I paid 30$ for the 11meter conversion and a peak and tune. I have heard that the Melaka will do far more that these readings that I am getting. I also only get 7 watts on FM. I hope that I can get more that what it is doing now. 1.5kcs off is ok for am but not for ssb or fm. I am asking this here to see what you all think?

I would have to say by the way you are describing it , your dosey needs calibrated , FM should be 6 to 8 watts. You need to hook it straight into the
Dosey and then plug a dummy load into the meter. Remove the antenna. I have never seen one do less than 20 watts on SSB. Confirm your meter and if
it is still low , let me know and I will peak it and do the mods for you for free...

Ok I see what you are saying. I will tomorrow go and get a dummy load, and try that. I guess my Doseys could be out of adjustment. Will the 1.5 kcs that it seems to high be ok? I will be happy to get 20watts on ssb. I guess the 7watts I am getting of FM is right. I talked to some friends on fm and they said it sounded great. AM reports were also good. They all said ssb was low but clear. If I see, after I do the Dummy load thing, that I dont have any improvment I will let you know 307, and thanks for the offer. I will send another msg tomorrow. Also thank you Taz
