How many pills in it and their designator no.s and watts drive am/ssb and output per trans?

Bigbob,

There are four MRF455's in the Boomer 500. The manufacturer says it will take up to a dozen watts in on AM and 35 on SSB. I would personally run it at 3-4 watts in and let the mod take you the rest of the way. You can drive it harder though. Output should max out in the neighborhood of 325.

hey Steve a tech at copper told me the boomer 500 base is a tube amp ,what's up?
