There is a bunch of talk about cheating and Nascar preferential treatment of the 8 team all across the nation.........at least by race fans. I usually pay no attention but after the Daytona 500 win by Earnhardt I am starting to question Nascar's credibility........am I paranoid. |

Earnhardt clearly had the best car out there.....He walked away from stewart and busch. DEI has ALWAYS ruled restrictor plate tracks.....Whats the big suprise?? Buck |

Preferential? You mean everyone doesn't pit under green, stay on the lead lap, and only lose five positions? And blocking is only blocking sometimes, based on team affiliation (even if it damages the other car). Also, enforcement of driving below the yellow line is team specific (has nothing to do with being forced or if an advantage was gained, as we are told). Dan |

I would imagine no drivers would be questioning it because I don't believe they would want to offend Dale who is the present day poster child for Nascar. Why would they risk fines/probation/suspension/imprisonment......LOL It's hard for me to believe that DEI could whoop up on RCR/Hendrick/Gibbs/Yates teams for 3 consecutive years at the plate tracks. I can understand the Ford teams griping because the Nascar approved Tauras body has a lot of drag and Nascar has historically been slow to help the Ford teams.

DEI hasnt really whiped up on RCR.....Dale SR was bringing up the rear for his two cars the day he died. At the begining of the race on sunday dale jr was helping stewart conserve his front tires....They all help each other out for the most part. Only problem I have with nascar is the point system. I am (and always have been) a little E fan but I have to tell you.....Ryan Newman should have won the championship last year. I think the driver that wins the most races should win the championship. I hate when they drive conservatively just try to get points. RACE TO WIN!!!!!!! Thats what its all about! Buck |

Points racing stinks but it has been that way for decades. Nascar should award consistancy but also should award 25 extra points for winning....... 25 for leading the most laps and 0 for leading just one. I also think qualifying on the pole should be worth 10 points |

Personally I think we aught to go back to what STOCK cars really are - cars off the showrrom floor with only rollcages and harnesses added. As for a conspiracy - hey wake up. Several years ago while racing in Australia I consistantly finished well at one particular track despite improvements that other teams made. WHY?? Simply because I knew my car and more importantly I knew that track (home track) and I knew how to make that track work for me. Knowledge counts in racing. Now as a #24 fan I watched the race and I cannot see anywhere that Jr was given preferential treatment. He just had a good car and a great crew on both day. Good machine, and a well rehearsed team should triumph anytime especially when you know that track. |

I have seen the yellow line rule broken and nothing said, but by more than one team. If your not cheating your not trying if you get caught cheating your not trying hard enufff! Who said cheaters never win I did all the time! LOL. |
