You buy a Chevy Monte Carlo only because Dale JR drives one... And then you have it custom painted to look like his #8!!!!!!!!!! |

You are a crazed NASCAR fan when you pay $500.00 for a used slick tire that came off of Dale Jrs race car and use it as a stand for a coffee table in the living room!!!!! Really. Seriously, guys, i personally know a guy (former CB bud) in my old hometown that paid that much (he bragged about it over the air one night on our home channel) for a used slick tire off of Jeff Gordons #24 and displays it with pride in his living room along with the thousands of dollars worth of memorablilia!!!! |

I've thought of painting my Mercury Sable like the #24 car, and it burns me when my oldest son brags on that red #8 Bud car and driver. Yankee |

My wife did buy an '03 Monte Carlo SS...victory red with the silver ground effects. I had to put some #8 stickers on the back windows, get her embroidered #8 floor mats, and put an Earnhardt Chevy dealership logo on the trunk lid. Also has an XM satellite radio, which is tuned to only one station...Nascar radio !!! I tell her I'd be willing to put some Goodyear Eagles w/ raised yellow lettering on her car, but she hasn't gone that far... yet. |

I am just glad that auto racers don't have to use steroids like our baseball players see to have to. Hope they keep the image clean. |

NASCAR is OK but I prefer to watch the Super V8s from Australia - at least they have right turns too. Then again considering I used to race against the parents of most Ozzie V8 racers of today might have something to do with it too.. Actually we've talked a local, who is about to race an Escort in Mini Stock that he should paint it white and brown and use the numbers 44 because it isonly half of Dale Jarrets Taurus.. |

NASCAR's ok , but it's not what it once was. Might as well pull off a couple of plug wires and go raceing. It's really going to the dogs now days. Watch a few of the older races from the 70's and 80's. Now that was more like it. NASCAR is the SLOWEST thing that runs Daytona these days. |
