hey guys whats up, i was the guy who was asking about the galaxy 350hd a few weeks ago. Well ***********radio, messed me over. I never got my product, kinda a bummer. Anyway I just bought a xforce 400hd, and it's on back order, my luck is great isn't it. Are these amps even good, i hear mixed stuff about them, they seem like their made well. They are class c, and I was reading mixed opinions on that to. Anyway any input u guys have would be great. Thx |

X-Force amps are fantastic! They are class "C" which is really only best for AM. SSB won't sound to good. As far as quality, a great amp well built, much better than the cheaper amps available, because of built in fans and quality workmanship. They are larger in size but it's worth it. If SSB is your desire, contact the place you ordered the X-Force from and get a Magna Force instead (same product but class B biased). If only AM, X-Force all the way. In my opinion, you will be much happier with the X over the Galaxy. Alsworld |

I agree with Alsworld X-FORCE is a great amp, with being a class C amp it rocks on am. If you like SSB the Magna Force the way to go. Magna Force sings on both SSB and AM. The wormanship is great.I have a Magna Force 350 and it rocks. |

Great amp, I use mine on both am and sideband with no complaints whatsoever. I have owned several X forces, and never had a problem. |

The X-80 is a great base amp. It is class "B" and I have had no trouble with it on SSB/AM. |

hey I am they guy that originally posted this, xforce are really good amps. I am driving it with a texas star 1 2290, and It keys 20 and swings to 80 so with that in my xforce keys about 150 and swings to about 650 or 700. So yeah you won't be dissapointed with X-FORCE. But don't underestimate texas star. They come ready for SSB and they are class AB, x-force are class c and they have to be biased for ssb |

Audiophile 73, the X-Force 400HD is a great amp. It's not your typical mass produced run of the mil amps. Most amps with 4 SC2879 transistors (Pills) are capable of maybe 500-600watts peak (limited by the 1" transformers due to saturation). Your 400 HD is capable of doing 1000 watts with the appropriate driver. Great amp, sure to be a future collectible. Now, if you wanted to operate primarily on SSB, then The Magna-Force 600 would be the one for you. Same pill configuration as the 400 HD, but it's "B" biased for sideband, and for some reason, B biased amps to less imput to achieve the same power as class C amps. Just my thoughts, hope this helps. That's interesting since X-Force doesn't list a 400B anymore.I have 2 X-Force amps that I've used for years without any issues.A Magna Force 100 feeding an X-Force 40012HD,gives me 900w PEP with clear audio. |
