It's not what microphone sounds good with what radio, it's what microphone sounds good with your voice. What have you used before and liked, or what microphone has gotten you compliments? |

Not to jump on the bandwagon here BUT if your into the echo thing at all then you HAVE to try that DM452! When that echo is set just right to where you can hardly tell you even have echo it just flat out sounds great! Set 1/8" up and with tight timing on the internal VR it gives your modulation great body and depth. I've heard all the echo's out there from factory Galaxy, Connex, Magnum and most of the aftermarket kits. I have to say that simple mic has the most pleasing echo I've ever heard. IF you don't like the echo it's still a nice mellow power mic with LOTS of clear punch. Only complaint is the size/shape of the mic...kinda like talking into a tissue box Whis is why I preset mine and installed the whole thing in another mic case....I get bored easy. |

Speaking of microphone shape, has anyone ever used a Sadelta ME-3? It was an electret powered microphone with echo, but what I really liked about it was the shape. It was about 2" x 5" x 0.5" which made it really easy to hold and use. I'm told the echo was nice although I really didn't use it much. The only really poor thing I have to say about it was that the output control was a small pot under the battery cover that required a miniature phillips screwdriver to adjust. Of course once it was adjusted you didn't need to change it, but I still felt the need to carry the correct screwdriver around in my car just in case. Echo control was by a thumb wheel on the opposite side of the PTT key. I wish they still made a hand microphone in that shape with that type of element. It was so pleasant to use while driving I used it even though I don't normally care for powered microphones. |
