I have a Palomar 300 Elite mobile amp black with heat sink on top low, med, high power settings with receive preamp.
Amp will not key up and present a carrier in am operation.
When the amp is modulated it will swing up to the proper power level and come back down and present the carrier level.
After it unkeyed and keyed up again it will not present any carrier until it is modulated again.
Anyone know what the problem is?
All wiring connections to the amp are good.

Hi Kabar

I would suggest tx transistor is bad or the capacitor that feeds that keying transistor.
Then again it could be not enough rf going to the amp as well.
