Hi, I posted this in the open forum and nobody gave me an answer. My friend wants to buy this radio from a CB shop and they said it was like new and never been peaked and tuned. He wants to know what the radio from the factory should do in watts with the RF power all the way down and with the RF power all the way up. He wants to know the dead key and the swing both RMS AND PEAK. T H A N K S |

67gto Stock out-of-the-box, I have seen them do anywhere from 80 watts to 120 watts. I've never seen two of them alike. When set up right, they will do an EASY swing of 250 watts after a (correctly done) "Negative Peak Compression" modification has been done. And also run cooler. Todays Galaxy Turbos have a better (more stable) power supply in them than what they did some years back. Jeff, kc0gxz. |
