Makes complete sence to me Bruce. For the price of a magnum 257, who would be foolish enough to waste valuable time on a htx-10. That is unless someone wanted to mod the htx-10 just for the sake of saying that they had a htx-10 that would funtcion out of the 10 meter band. Go with the magnum 257 and save yourself some time to qso! The magnum 257 offers the most bang for the buck! 73's stickshift |

Exactly Bruce...It can be done...but is it worth $90.00 & shipping? I don't think so. I've got the mag 257 and are very happy with it's performance for the price....Too bad the htx10 can't modded easier. |

Still i wonder like you said why would a cber buy a htx-10 knowing no one had moded them short of the chip change ..... $90 why so much i would like to see what magumn charges for the 257 CPU chip????? not me if i want to go the export route ill go get a export radio. |
