Anyone have any mods for this radio. I'm not very happy with mine. I need more power and I want this radio to be LOUD.

Ok, clip the limiter, add a connex board and swap the finals. LOL

CB Tricks is a very good site. Been there many times. But my problem is my 93T will key around 20 watts on the high side. The swing is only about 60 watts. This is in AM mode and on standard CB channels. What gives? I have heard of all these radios swinging over 100 watts. I have prayed to God and even sacrificed small animals on my bench and the darn thing won't swing one watt more. What are these guys doing to get that kind of power. A boomer board in a 44 swings about 100 watts. With only a 1446 transistor, a 2290 should swing alot more. Anyone have any answers?

Which resistor is the limiter for this radio? Which one would be the one to replace with a diode? I'm ready to take a hammer to this $400 piece o'••••.

Thanks guys

When folks bring or send 93Ts to me they usually are doing the power you describe. When they get them back it's doing the power you're looking for WITHOUT removing any limiters. That's what us techs are out here for ;)

Well, I sold the junk bucket. Won't ever buy another one. I'm looking to buy the 95T, although it's just a 93 with the 48T amp on it.

I'll have to say this, it was a real nice radio, I just couldn't tweak it to get the power outta it I wanted. I fiddle with radios for guys around here, but I've never worked on one of these. But I've had great success with the basic model radios. I guess I need to find some reading material on the newer rigs. I can do basic repairs and stuff like that, but this radio stumped me.
