Morpheus847,

First off WELCOME TO THE COPPER FORUM!

TR32 is an AMC ~ Shunt

(I personally have never seen any reason to remove it for any reason.)

You can Adjust your Modulation / AMC by adjusting VR14 or removing TR53.

You can find the Tune Up Information to the left of the Forum here for the Galaxy 33HML Radio listed in the Modification List area under Tools.

Hope this helps.

Lon

TR32 in most all Galaxy radios is a 2SC945P. You can use ANY 2SC945 or equil. part. The P means it is production change number 16. Most likely you will find the P and not any other. I have removed them and I don't really see the point either. However, I've had guys bring radios to me with them removed and I re-install them and still see no change. Alteast a change noticable to the ear. You can get these parts from RF Parts Co, Mouser Electronics, probably from Copper. If you are lucky, Radio Shack. Make sure that when you put it back in, that the flat side faces the front of the radio!!
