Does anyone know where I can find the power output adjustments for the Magnum S9?

Thanks

WHY!!!
That's the beuty of that radio!
good power output out of the box, no adjustments needed!
Any way I believe they are layed out the same as a Galaxy 99
But my suggestion is this; It's not worth the few extra watts, considering your stressing out a lot of other components when you play with stuff like that, isn't 45 watts enough?

Yes 45 watts would be enough if the radio would do 45. RFI advertises 10 watts dead key with 45 watts swing on AM,but I can only get 25-30 watt swing on AM. I can get a 40 watt swing on sideband.

Fatdaddy,

How many volts of power are you putting into it?

If you are just running 12 Volts into it you will not see Full Power out.

When I did the Review on the S-9 I was running 13.7 to 13.8 Volts into it and had no problems.

Hope this helps,

I'm running the radio on an Astron RS-70M power supply, and a Fluke multimeter says it is putting out 13.8 volts. I'm using a Para Dynamics model PDC7000 watt meter.

If the AMC circuit in your radio is working properly, you are seeing what you should see--I'll bet you that your radio IS peaking over 40 watts, but the AMC kicks in when it is supposed to (as you approach 100 percent modulation on peaks), and your wattmeter isn't quick enough and/or accurate enough to read that fast.

My Galaxy DX2517 was tuned to peak at around 43 watts PEP, as measured on a very expensive, accurate service monitor. However, my Astatic 600 sees around 35 watts max. Is something wrong? No, the radio is still doing over 40 watts, my meter just isn't able to read it. Not a big deal. I've learned not to rely too much on wattmeter readings--I test the radio on the air and rely on audio and signal reports to know if it is working right or not.

like highlander says-
'Not a big deal. I've learned not to rely too much on wattmeter readings--I test the radio on the air and rely on audio and signal reports to know if it is working right or not.'
i use a diamond sx100, which always shows less watts then my OLD dosy, S9 35w vs 50w, deltaforce 15w vs 25w, ar3500 80w vs 135w, icom735 50w vs 80w, the differences aren't even "linear", but all my radios talk, and i know what the sx100 usually reads, so unless it differs greatly or my signal report is odd, i just let the locals claim their dx667 is doing a kW then i key over 'em with my dx350hdv doing 250w on my diamond, or 375 on the dosy.
my signal on dx w/800 watts is only a hair different then with 1200 watts, so 30 to 40 probably isn't even noticable.

Thanks for the info from everyone who posted. The Magnum S9 is a fine radio,I prefer it to the Galaxy 99V,I have used both. Although the Magnum is a somewhat copy of the 99 it has several features that suits me better than the 99 and the recieve is much better,a lot less hash and trash.
