I have both boxes, the 100 will key up but it puts out zero wattage. I'm thinking pills. The 150 won't key up, the pre amp won't even kick in. Everything lights up when it's powered,it just does not trip the relays. Any ideas, and is it possible to maybe build one good amp with parts from both? |

Outlaw, While anything is possible,I would recommend just getting both repaired.2 pills in the 100watt range can be had for around $30 or less.without knowing exactly what is bad in either, you may still end up with a pile of parts only. tech291 cef#291 kc8zpj

Very true, i just found out today. The man that gave them to me hooked a modulater to the 100, about a ten watt dead key hit it. So i'm sure the pills are shot in it. the 150, he says should only need a keying diode. I'm not sure where that's at in it or what size to put in it. I'm very new to amps, i'm trying to learn what i can. Thanks for the help. |

I learned a bit from these boxes. i just learned how to hook a jumper to the keying circuit to make it key. The pills are shot in both boxes. i ain't spending money on something that old, just to have the rest of the parts burn out in a week. thanks for the help. this radio stuff is kinda fun :-) |

Hey, that's nice. I'm getting a magnum sb3200 for x-mas. so i think i'm just gonna hold out untill i can buy a base amp to go with it. I'm tired of playing with power supplies and batteries. |
