need to add a jumper to mag mount wilson 5000.
does the jumper need to match up exactly or can a better quality or lesser quality jumper be used?
radio is general lee if this makes any difference.

Recommend NOT using a lesser quality coax - better is always the best bet, but at least the same quality.

Now by quality I assume you mean % of shield, dB loss per 100ft etc.

To directly answer your question, the Wilson 5000 is not picky about coax length.
