hello everybody,anybody know if the groundplane radials from an antron 99 will work on an imax 2000 i know there a little bit longer im thinkin yes

i know they will fit in the mount,but will they make me have bad swrs,and which ones would work better

it might make your bandwith a little narrower not a big deal though. ive heard they can help lower the floor noise level when its quiet out.they wont hurt ya putting them on but i wouldnt expect much improvement from them

The IMAX 2000 has a different mounting scheme than the A99, so no.

The A99 is just a pipe at the bottom and uses a couple clamps to mount to a pole. The Imax 2000 has a flat plate with holes drilled for u-bolts to mount to a pole. You cannot slip the A99 ground plane collar over that.

The IMAX 2000 GPK is needed to add ground planes to an Imax.

ok thanks guys.been using them now for a couple months seem to work fine my swrs are 1.1 on channel 40, but on channel 1 they are 2 woudnt make a big deal out of 2 would you.i moved the tuning rings once but that didnt do anything.

2:1? Yes, I would make a big deal out of that. If the tuning rings are about in the center of the threaded part, then it sounds like the antenna is too close to something else.
