Starting today I am puting my new beacon on the air!! It will be on 24/7 this and next week. It will be on the freq 195kcs, so to hear it you will need a low band rx. It sends cw(slowly),so you can copy it!!
If you hear it you will know where to send a report and I will qsl back to you.The beacon has a pwr of 2watts so you will have to really listen!!!!

Beaconman,

How does a load selective level meter become a LOWFER beacon? Did you just use the case from an old test instrument and build your beacon inside it?

How does the loop antenna work for you? Most LOWFERs use a Marconi vertical w/capacitance hat. The Aero beacons I have been involved with all used a Marconi of some type as well. I have never heard of a loop used to transmitting on LF.
