If the 93 is set correctly you could use a Texas Star DX500. |

Tech 671 my DX 93 T is on the way from Copper, I asked tech 307 about using my mobil Palomar 250 amp on ssb only with the lowest power setting on the radio, he said it would be ok, Last week Galaxy said I would burn up my amp because the radio is to strong, was Galaxy talking about AM and not ssb, I believe tech 307, so please tell me whats with Galaxy,I use ssb only. thank you |

That radio will put out around 80w on ssb at full power. 80w will likely blow the pair of 1446, 455, or 454 transistors that are in your 250. If you can set your variable down to around 30w, I think you'll be ok. |

Not a 6 or 8 pill? Not a combination of two driving four or six but a straight-up 6 or 8 pill. Wouldn't that be more suited to that radio? At least with as much drive as it has. Why run power for only a couple db increase? With the power that radio has it would be difficult to tell the difference between the radio wide open versus with 2 70 watt pills behind it. Znut |

You can lower the power to about 15 or 20 watts swing into a Palamar 250 with NO TROUBLE at all...Just don't go any higher , it will sound tight... 307 |
