To all apt to accurately comment:

In the midst of all the opinions regarding coax length I would like your opinion.

Regarding my new Lincoln, here is how I set it up.

I drilled through the cab roof of my pick-up truck and used a ball mount. I ground all the paint off on the underside of the roof for a clean ground, and using mini 8 coax. I am using a Firestik KW-6 antenna and a Palomar 250 and of course my new Lincoln.

Here is the punch line. Between the radio and the amp is 6' of coax.Between the amp to antenna is 12' of coax.

What is your opinion of that? Any problems?

Thanks,
Kattracker

Just make sure you set the AB7RRT-554 audio signal processor on the imput of the speech processor next to the big audio line for the stereo,

Woops, scratch that.

It sounds like it should blow smoke!

BigBob,

I appreciate your reply. However it went right over my head. I do not know what you meant to say.

Thanks,

Good job Kattracker. Just remember to turn the power on the lincoln way down when running that amp. 2, maybe 3 watt deadkey at MOST into the amp!

Take Care

Hey Bigbob, how much do you charge to teach "short winded" lessons? I've had "just a few" people tell me I can drag out a Yes or No answer into 15 minutes of story telling. Works great for fishing lies...uh....I mean tales....but will probably give me that carple tunnel syndrom stuff. Is that a new fancy name for arthritis of the hands?

Shoot, if I had one of those 2517's, I would mention it every post. I know those are sweet. Although I am not the guy(s) you hear on the radio saying "sure wish I had of them big radios", I sure do think it all the same :). Yep, that is one nice radio Bigbob and Karatebutcher (who also runs one of those).

Yeah they talk for sure!

Karatebutcher,

Right now if I bought the 93T to do a Review on it, I think the 1st Sargant would do a MAJOR Review on me.
