Been trying to buy a dual band mobile on Ebay and can't even come close. Everything I bid on goes for more than what you can buy it new for. Someone bought a used ADI 2meter mobile for $289.00 !! and an Alinco 605 for $329.00 and it had a damaged power switch! These all for about the same at HRO. ANd you can fine new ADI's for $229. What's wrong with people? I guess the E in Ebay stands for Expensive! |

Check QRZ.COM in the for sale section. At least you know who your dealing with then. My 2 cents. |

I myself havnt ever had problems on e-bay but I buy from people with a good rating only. I've bought everything from a car to clothes. There are a few deals but not like in the beginning. Its a good place to find what a item is worth to the general public though. I'm going to put my yeasu station on there here pretty soon so I can buy another hf rig. Probally after christmas. |

Crafter, You are right, you gotta know your prices, and be real. It is not as good as it used to be but you can still find deals, If you know what you are looking for, and use the feedback as a guide. |

WELL 392 You could always buy the dual bander you want new then resell it on ebay for 40 dollars more and keep doing it till you make enough profit to get one that was paid for by just the profits thus = FREE |

Well, I will say this about eBay, they dont like the HR2510s. I had my auction pulled 3 times. I ended up selling it on another site. |

Yea I tried and tried to buy a dx1600 from a guy finally we just did it person to person, but be warned do it COD when you do that and you still really dont know what your getting but it turned out good. Yahoo auctions is such a mad house I dont even do it no more, I see those little two transistor mobiles go for like 200.00 bucks and they cost me 90.00 I just couldnt rip someone off like that its wrong. Bidding wars yea I did it! Found a radio I wanted and paid 100.00 more than it was worth but I got what I wanted. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I've got some good things though bought a 500 watt amp for 150.00 and a legal limit for 425.00, again check who you are buying from. Also I cant tell you how many times i've turned someome in for bidding on there on stuff using another account but if you track it you turn them in to safe harbor and they are history e-bay dont foul around they suspend them. Oh the wonders of tracking a ISP address. All and all its fun I believe thats why I do it not just for the item its the competition what a rush waiting till 3 seconds to bid, think god for dsl. |

Here's one for you whats the deal with those little Johnson antenna tuners about the size of a pack of cigarettes. I got one and for the life of me what makes it worth 20.00 . |
