It's true. I am back. My laptop was down for two weeks. It was not good, but things are working once again.
As for my base antenna, it is up! I have a high swr, well I did when it went up on a rainy day. I haven't checked it since then, about 3 weeks ago. I was hoping to be on this weekend for the CEF Net. But my folks house looks to be sold as of Dec 10th. And they are moving in with us for the holidays. Yup, you guessed it. The CB room is going to be used for company. So looks like no CBing till after Jan. And by then the snow will be flying. So it may be spring before I get on again. But then again, a shovel and a drill, and the coax will be in the house. So who's to say.
But I am back, and I have one question.....
What did I miss? *G* |

You did miss the Picture of Karatebutcher in his String Bikini he wore for Halloween.
(forummaster had to remove it, as so many people were laughing so hard they could not post.)
I remember my GREAT Grand Mother (97 years old now) telling me that way back when she dated Karatebutcher, that he was always kinda STRANGE!

KB,
I cannot understand why you keep confusing me with my Great Grandmother, I have heard a person's memory goes with age. 
Great Grandma always told us children to be nice to our elder's, so I will try and be nice to you, as I do respect my elder's. 
But I do remember when you were courting Great Grandma I was only 5 year's old. 
She did wear 7 1/2 as I remember that she always said, if that Strange Karate Kid dosen't stop stealing my clothes off the clothes line and wearing them, I am going to put my 7 1/2 where the sun don't shine on that lad. 
But actually, I think she did like you a lot as she was always a cussin ya.

Now my wife just dragged out the floor mop (wet) and started swinging, but then she got over that after our first year of marriage. I switched to sponges when the mop wore out...

Wow....aleins, radios and a bikini......man you leave for a few weeks and all the good stuff happens!
Well here is a bit of news. I tested out the 2950DX this afternonn. SWR is lower, so the radio says. How on is the SWR in this radio? Anyway, I have to get one to hook in line and check it.
But anyways, in 40 mins I made 6 contacts in the midwest. LSB on 45 and 47. All had good things to say about my radio. Even with the stock mic. So maybe, just maybe, this Sunday I may be on for the Net.
I hope so, with that said, I am off to get a local radio check. I called the old gang up, now we are going to see if I can still talk to them. *G* |
