Applejack Im deaf in my right ear, and have 30% loss in left ear. I have headphones hooked up to the tv. I bought the headphones from radio shack and they are wireless and have there own volume and tuning so i will not run every one out of the room . They are stereo headphones which can help people with hearing loss. hope this helps you out. |

Applejack Several years back I built a device for a friend with a hearing aid. The device was a 5 turn coil of wire around the room , fed from a headphone jack on the tv via a 1w audio amp and a well filtered supply. The hearing aid picked-up the audio in the loop (magnetic induction) and fed a quite good signal to her. The idea came from an old electronic magazine (Electronics Australia circa 1970) |

ok thanks. i thought here would be a good place to start rather than running to a bunch of stores. i have already wired rca connectors and external stereo speakers to 2 tv's and thought of trying maybe graphic equalizers too. aj |

also consider adding surround sound instead of replacing the tv |
