Anyone have any ideas on how to wire up these mics to a RCI 2950DX. Thanks Murray |

Does the 2950DX receive without a microphone connected? |

Well, I don't know if the 2950DX receives without the microphone connected. If it does, then the answer is simple. If not, then I don't know how to do it. Here is the standard Kenwood microphone wiring. The colors vary slightly from model to model, but this information came from the MC-80 manual and I confirmmed it is correct for a Kenwood MC-85 also. Kenwood Mic Pinout 1 - White - Mic Audio 2 - Red - STBY (PTT) 3 - Brown - Down 4 - Blue - Up 5 - Green - NC - +8V @10mA - to power microphone 6 - NC - No Connection 7 - Shield - GND (Mic) 8 - Black - GND (STBY) |
