Kenwood 8 pin Mic Pinout

1 - Mic Audio
2 - PTT (TX)
3 - Down
4 - Up
5 - +8V
6 - NC
7 - GND (Mic)
8 - GND

Turner Super Sidekick - Electronic Switching

White - Audio
Shield - Ground
Red - RX
Black - TX

Turner Super Sidekick to Kenwood 8 pin:

White - 1
Black - 2
Shield - 7 & 8

You don't need the RX as the Kenwood should switch back to RX when pin 2 is no longer grounded. You probably don't need to ground the shield to both 7 & 8, but it doesn't hurt. If you connect it to only one pin, connect it to pin 8.
