I bought one of these 2 years ago, and I love it. It was $1500 but it is one of the few Ham radios that have a lot of bass when it transits. It interfaces fully with your computer via a serial cable, so you can use HRD or the Kenwood ARCP2000 software. The mod is easier than most galaxy's, and it is clean as a whistle when it TX's. Never seen a need to hook my TS-2000 to anything but my SIGNAL LINK.

I like mine and run it with a preamp on 2 meter SSB. The filters are good and it puts out almost 100 watts enough for local nets.

Bruce, sell that base mic your using in the picture and put a Behringer B1 on it. The improvement will be quite remarkable. Then you'll be able to play with the big boys.
