I forgot to ask if these radio's are any good. I've noticed these are the ones with the removeable faceplates on them. Anybody else know what kind of power these radio's put out and extra channels?

I'm looking at this radio....think I could do that adjustments myself?

Not sure on the power Boxcar, but they can cover 10&11m, as well as sSB, and weather.

I can't wait to order mine up. I still haven't heard from Copper as to whether they can get me one or not.

Robbie,

Your question was answered in the Customer Service Area of the Forum here.

While the Midland 79-290 might be a Nice 40 channel CB it is still a rather High Priced, Standard Power CB with 10 Weather Band's.

For the Suggested price of around $179.99 you can spend $10.00 to 25.00 more and get a Full Fledged 10 Meter Dual Final Radio with far more coverage, 10 & 11 Meter's and Far More Standard Option's / Feature's for your money.

I must not have seen that - I'll go look ever there - thanks!
