I DID finally find out info on the mike wiring plug anyway... pin 1 -- ground pin 3 -- tx pin 5 -- audio pin 6 in the middle is +6 vdc. Also the digital meter under display is TRANSMIT only, it does not work on recieve. The radios will work with the mike un plugged ( sound through speaker ). I just thought that since Copper sells some of the Magnum models that more info might be available here in the forum. No insult is intended. kd4amg (Bobby) |

Bobby, Sorry I can't help with the problem with the talkback or Digital RX meter but to answer 2 of your questions: Program your channels as follows: AND I QUOTE: (21) MEMORY SAVE To save in memory specific frequency and operating mode, select the desired mode and rotate the Frequency control (channel knob ) to desired frequency. Press the FUNC button, and then press the the M.SAVE button. "S" will appear on the LCD next to the frequency. While "S" is displayed, Immediately press any of the memory channel buttons(1-5). The mode (am/fm/ssb) and frequency are now saved into the memory. If the "S" indicator disappears before you press the memory channel button, the information will not be saved and the process must be repeated. MEMORY LOAD To load, or recall, any of the saved memory channels press the M.LOAD button. "L" will appear on the LCD for several seconds. While the letter is displayed press the desired memory channel button (1-5). The programmed mode and frequency will now be displayed. By the way..you should hear programming "beeps" as your doing this. If you do not hear them as you push ANY button: Turn radio off Key mic While keyed up turn radio back on then unkey mic. Programming tone should now be active as you press any of the 8 buttons. Same proceedure to lose the programming beep if not wanted. MIC wiring for Magnum 6 pin: 1=Audio 2=Receive 3=Transmit 4=Channel down (up w/22k resistor inside mic) 5=Ground 6=+13.8 VDC I have the blue face model and this thing is FULL of features. I'm reading from the owners manual now so anything else I can do to help let me know. Probably does things you don't know exist yet.. I know I like the "STEP" button. Good Luck! Hank CEF559 |

"IF" the older model Delta is IN FACT the same in the way of features as the newer Blue face versions then: Press FUNC then CALL to change display between channel numbers (1-40) and the Freq display. Press FUNC to activate the functions labled BELOW the buttons...for instance NB (noise blanker) SHIFT(change freq in different steps chossen by rotating the channel knob) TONE (hi or low) and M.SAVE Wish I could be more help...doesn't seem to be a whole lot of Delta info out there BUT I'M WORKING ON IT! |

What you have there is the 1st generation Delta. To convert/channel those you have to remove the faceplate (and knobs) and remove a resistor(SMT)! The digital meter DOES only work on TX. Microphone pin-out is the same as the current Delta and the Omega both. The info is out there on the web;just gotta search and find it.If I could,I'd scan and email a page I have from when mine was done, but I'd have such a headache trying! If all else fails let me know and we'll give it a shot!
