THE BOOMER 600 AMP I HAVE AFTER IT WARMS, WILL START NOT TO UNKEY. THE RED TX LIGHT ON THE AMP STAYS ON AND THE RECEIVE ON MY RADIO IS NOT WORKING. I CAN TURN THE AMP OFF AND BACK ON AND IT UNKEYS, WORKS FINE UNTIL I KEY THE MIKE AGAIN. THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN WHEN THE AMP HAS WARMED UP AFTER BEING USED TO TRANSMIT. I DONE NO MOD TO THE AMP IT'S JUST LIKE IT CAME OUT OF THE BOX. MY RADIO IS A SUPERSTAR 3900 DEAD KEYING 3 WATTS. SWR WITH AMP ON IS 2.0, ANT IS A WILSON 5000

THANK YOU!

outside possibility SWR's are TOO high with amp off, as well as too much input from radio it should not get too warm too quick

Check jumper between radio and amp, specifically the solder joints.Bigbob

MY SWR WITH AMP OFF IS 1.3, IT'S 2.0 WITH AMP ON, AND MY RADIO OUTPUT IS 3 WATTS DEAD KEY. I CHANGED JUMPERS FROM OTHER TRUCK THAT WAS WORKING FINE AND HAD NO CHANGE ON ETHER TRUCK. PLEASE ADVISE WITH WHAT YOU THINK IT MAY BE.

THANK YOU!

Gonna take heat for this BUT try a different length jumper. What length now? Try around 6 to 9ft if it's 3ft now. If its 18inches now then try 3ft.
Of course could be the amp itself more specifically the relay within.

Hank....good luck!

TRy moving the antenna around. Maybe too much rf is getting into the amp.

My guess is the variable capacitors have been messed with inside the box and the transistors are not matched properly (probably over saturation). Try turning them back a little at a time until you have best results. Or there is a bad ground coming off the linear to chassis (power side)
