well im looking for a powerfull, small, and LOUD radio for my mobile. i currently have nothing in it except for an nmo style mount on the trunk. how loud are these radios, and is there any modifications for them? what is the actual wattage, and can i run a d104 with it |

ive read the review more than once, im trying to find a forum member who owns the radio and get some feedback on how loud the audio is. i.e how does the audio compare to say a cobra 29 or a v9000 |

The audio with the stock Mini Mag mic that was designed to work with it does a very good job and reaches 100% modulation. Never really noticed any difference between it and my VR9000. All reports have been good audio and clear. Lon~Tech808 CEF#808/HAM#001/CVC#002 Tech808@copperelectronics.com

Applejack, Before doing anything to the radio you will need to contact Customer Service on Monday morning and ask for Suzanne in Customer Service at: 1-800-626-6343 and she will be able to help you. Lon~Tech808 CEF#0808/HAM#001/CVC#0002 Tech808@copperelectronics.com

a year later and with a little use and some problems, the only thing i really like is the small size. my regulars claim low audio, and i have heard it on another guys base. with stock mic the audio is low. you have to key up and count to "3" before you can start talking , because there is a hesitation, then audio starts out real low then gets some better, but not loud by any means.the links says a power mic wont help, but i have heard a d104 desk mic on it, and it does help alot. ive had it to go off frequency for an unknown reason, doesnt matter if air temp is cold or warm or if radio is cold or warm. it comes and goes. i have since replaced it with a vr9000, which i like a WHOLE lotmore anyway. the recieve is also cruddy. my 510 uniden recieves from the same guy nearly 3 times the distance while mobile. if it werent for these problems, the size makes it perfect for a honda. ..aj you dont need an amplifier, you need a BIGGER ANTENNA
