It looks nice. Maybe I'll get it for Christmas from Santa or maybe the Grinch.

Wally38,

SUPER STAR T747
Microphone Test Center

T747 Mic and Echo Board Tester. Tests a large variety of microphones including most from RCI, Magnum, Cobra, President and Midland. There are spring loaded terminals on both sides of the tester so that you can easily connect and test noise toys and echo boards.

The test center runs on 12VDC and has a standard 3-pin power cord jack as found on most CB radios.

Dale,

NO, the Ranger 6 pin and Magnum 6 pin microphone's are wired differently.

The 4 Pin Magnums are the same as the 4 pin Cobra/Uniden microphone wiring.

RANGER 6 Pin Wiring:

Pin #1 ~ Shield
Pin #2 ~ Audio
Pin #3 ~ Transmit
Pin #4 ~ Receive
Piin#5 ~ Ch Ctrl UP
Pin #6 ~ Ch Ctrl DN

MAGNUM 6 Pin Wiring:

Pin #1 ~ Microphone Audio / White
Pin #2 ~ Receive / Black
Pin #3 ~ Transmit / Red
Pin #4 ~ Down(Up w/22K Ohm Resistor) / Blue
Pin #5 ~ Ground / Shield w/yellow sleeve
Pin #6 ~ +13.8VDC / Brown

You would think they would have given you a power cord with it for those who would keep it on the bench. Other than that and the lack of any kind of instructions, not that you need them, the device seems to be a decent little tester. Time will tell.

Dale,

The test center runs on 12 VDC with a maximum input power of 13.8 VDC and has a standard 3-pin power cord jack as found on most CB radios.

It does not have the option to be operated with a 9 volt battery.
