The true way to test the wires powering your linear amplifier is to check the voltage RIGHT AT THE LINEAR when it is keyed up at full power. Use stick pins to enter the RED and BLACK wires no farther than 2 inches from the unit. Hook your volt meter to the pins and key up at full power. If the voltage drops more than "1" volt you may be losing 1/2 your power. Most transistors are rated at a full 13.8 volts DC and the power will drop FAST as the voltage drops. Keep increasing the size of the wire until the drop is at minimum. This will help you become a BIG CB'r.
