The TRC-433 ranks 3rd in my list of favorite "RadioShack" units (even though it doesn't actually say radioshack on the unit). My initial favorite is the TRC-490, followed by the TRC-495. All 3 are great base units. My only fault with the TRC-433 is that the meter is in digital bars rather than analog. For whatever reason, people simply prefer the "needle" type readouts on CB's. Aside from cosmetic appearence, the meter is the "only" difference between the 433 and the 495.
If you have, or want to get, a TRC-433, I highly recommend adding a analog swr/rf meter that installs on the outside of the unit easily.
