UPDATE!

Hello everyone! 
Surgery / Operation: 06/02/08
About 6-1/2 hour's, Dr's removed very large brain tumor about the size of a baseball.
Result's so far:
Surgery went very well, no pain that I can remember and do not remember anything about it.
I have lost abouyt 80% vision in right eye so getting used to that.
I have PT on Mon/Wed/Fri to help with memory, walking & balance.
I want to Thank ALL of you who I have talked with daily in the Copper Voice Chat and who have called and e-mailed me.
The Copper Forummaster, Copper Tech, Suzanne, Copper Forum and "YOU" the Copper Forum Member's & Copper Voice Chat member's have been a blessing and a BIG help in my recovery. 
I will keep you all updated and I am in the Copper Voice Chat most every day.
I Thank you all for the post's, e-mails, calls and card's as they have been a big help.
I truly feel blessed to have so manyn great friend's here in the Copper Forum.
And I will keep everyone updated on my progress and hope to talk with aa of you in the Copper Voice Chat

Hello everyone!
GREAT NEW's
from Mayo Clinc & Dr. 
I had a Dr appointment yesterday and received some GREAT! result's.
Right now it appear's that they removed all of the tumor and NO chemo is required.
I will have another MRI and be re-checked again in 2 month's and if any of the tumor remain's they will go back in and clip and snip and remove it.
Only bad thing so far is I have lost 90% of vision in my right eye and we will have to wait and see what comes back.
I truley feel blessed to have so many GREAT friend's here in the Copper Forum.

hi there 808. i just now came across the news of your unfortunate recent circumstances & your subsequent great sounding recovery progress! just prior to seeing this, i had tried to conact you via your email & in the 'ask tech' part of forum regarding the rci-63ffc4 conversion. i had been trying for 2 days to find this info. i had not yet heard back from you, so i was scouring every corner of the forum for a clue. that's when i accidently came across the news of what happened. real happy for u to not only be making great recovery progress, but esp. to see all the positive stuff from friends. stay strong & a full recovery to you!
in the meantime i hope someone can help me with that mod, as i must get it done asap. i just registered here for that purpose.

UPDATE!
08/11/2008
Well I had a follow up MRI on July 31, 2008 to see if they got all of the tumor.
Well that MRI set off some bells for my Dr and she ordered another MRI of the blood vessels/vein's in my head around and to my brain on August 06, 2008.
I will see her again on August 26, 2008 to see if she got all of the tumor and get update on vien's feeding my brain.
I still have about 90% loss of vision in my right eye and left eye is way out of whack.
And short term memory is in & out and I still do not even remember going to hospitial or the surgery.
If everything is OK on the 26th I can get new glasses as it would be useless until she knows if she needs to go back in.
I have lost a little weight though.
From about 235-240 lbs before surgery down to 170 lbs today.
I will let everyone know what she says on August 26th.

UPDATE 08/27/08!
Well after talking with my Dr's, NO MORE surgery is required at this time.
Latest MRI's of my brain and all blood vessels to my brain came out OK.
I will have another MRI on October 14th, 2008 to re-check everything.
Dr. said it could take up to a year for my brain to re-fill the area left by the tumor they removed.
I still have a lot of gap's in my memory and she said some will come back and the rest is history.
I still have about 80% loss of vision in right eye and that will also take time to see what I end up with.
But I can have an eye exam now and get new glasses as the removal of the tumor has affected my vision in both eye's.

It is great to know I have so many GREAT FRIEND's who care.
Thing's are going good but slow in recovery but I am NOT complaining.
At least I am still here to recover.
And still on the radio when we have condition's which have not been great lately.
