I have many people asking which counter will work on the Melaka. The EURO EF-1000-6 WILL hook directly from to the Melaka with NO coax needed (RCA to RCA) BUT will only work on TX. I want to know how many people would like me to figure out a direct continue readout modification to the Melaka to enable readout all the time without key up as well as a direct power hookup to the counter from the Melaka.

I would like you to continue that.

So you are saying that the ef-1000-6 has a rca jack on tha back of it? so if i have a cable that has rca jacks on both sides it will work?

The direct continued readout would be my choice on this or any radio for a freq. counter.

one more question, is there a freq counter that has red LEDs that will match the red chanell selector indicator on the melaka base. I think most are green ??
