Just got out of hospitial.
I think i am doing ok. Daughter Tesa/Tddtime/WI. has been here last week helping Shirley.
Different tumors about 1/16 inch from others.
Long road but will take time as every thing is jumbled. everyone take care and i will take time when i can. Lon

1st tumor operation still doing good Dr's say.
Started Chemo for 2nd / different tumor ~ Doing good (no sickness yet.)
Have appointment for procedure's with the "Cyber Knife" to remove newest / 2nd tumor.

UPDATE! 
Very busy day today.
3 different Dr's appts.
Get chemo schedule to start chemo treatment's.
Get wire stiches out from top front of right ear up and over and down to base of neck on right side and in center of head.
OH and reading the Copper Forum and try and help answer question's if I can and say HI to everyone.

UPDATE!
Well thing's are finally looking up.
It started out a very bad week but things are looking up.
Had a major meess up with med's that left me a ZOMBIE most of the last 2 week's where nothing was registering as the drain hole in the top center of my head was colgged.
Doing ok now just zapped strength wise & not much memory for last 2 week.
I was finally accepted for the  CyberKnife® program /surgery by our hospitial here to remove Tumors (5) on brain.
I will be allowed to have / participate in the CyberKnife® program here as patient's are picked by all of the cancer DR's from our area participating in the trial testing / sugery.
I had to be approved by the hospitial board and DR's as there will be a total of 100 that are allowed to partucupate and have the CyberKnife® surgery.
Things are moving very fast here now with "6" different brain cancer DR's.
Now that they have the med's figured out and working things are going smooth so far. 
NO Pain but I am just in NA NA land zzzzzz a lot and only been awake a few hours a day.
Only draw back so far is a loss of balance, memory and of most eye sight in Right eye and memory which Dr's feel may come back as Tumors are against optic nerve in right eye.
And Dr's think most might come back.
So all in all I am VERY HAPPY to even be here with so many good Copper Forum Friends!
OH and now my head kinda look like UNCLE HAL

WOW!
Thing's are really moving FAST now.
We got a call at 7AM to go for CyberKnife® MRI first thing this morning at my cancer DR which took a little over 90 minute's in MRI machine and then Shirley had to drive me across town to anocancer cancer DR/institute to have my CyberKnife® MASK made for procedure.
They plan on giving me a set of 3 ~ roughly 90 minute CyberKnife® treatments over several days.
Now all we have to do is wait for the call to go start the CyberKnife® treatment's.
And NO chemo planned at this time.

Lon after talking with you in cvc about the CyberKnife I just had to go read up on it.
That is just a Wonderful thing and I think everyone should read up on it.
Painless
No sedation during treatment
No incisions
No blood loss
No recovery time - patient can go home the same day
Lower risk and fewer complications than open surgery.
I never had any kinda surgery (knock on wood) but if I ever did this is my kind. cuz I'm a Sissy to Hospital pain (mostly needles).

Latest UPDATE:
Sorry folk's that I have not been in the Copper Forum or Copper Voice Chat much lately and Shirley and I may not be in the Copper Forum or Copper Voice Chat for a few days.
After my last MRI the Tumor is going nut's and growing much faster than they originally thought it was.
So instead of having the CyberKnife® treatment's streached over 6 weeks / 2 weeks apart as originally planned, I will start the CyberKnife® treatment's in the morning and get them for 3 days in a row.
They are not shure how the med's I have to start taking tonight will affect me with all my other med's so I'am not sure if I will be in the Copper Forum or Copper Voice Chat much for a few day's.
I have lost more vision in my right eye, my short term memory STINK's and is a lot worse and I can't rember didly squat and I terrible.
And poor Shirley/808xyl is going nut's and totally wiped out with work & all of these change's and new schedule for this week.
The one GOOD thing that makes Shirly and I both feel a LOT better is my main Dr has cancelled her regular appt's during my CyberKnife® treatment's so she can be with Shirley and I during the 3 day's of treatment's.
And it is a BIG help in knowing that Shirley and I have so many good friend's here in the Copper Forum.
Shirley and I will check in and keep you all updated when we can.

We all here know this forum is pretty much your life, but you need to put it and all of us to a side and take more care of your self and each other. Us here on the Copper forum can and well take care of our selfs. You need not to worry about how things are going nor how things are being run here. You have a great working staff and vols to keep it going strong and smooth. You, Shirley and your family need more time together,less worries and Copper doesn't need to be something for you to worry about right now. You need rest and not try to take on the world or the Copper world all by your self.
Now I know and sometimes I don't blame you for wanting to be here seeing and knowing for yourself things are moving along well.
But worrying about us here is only dragging your self down more. Take a brake and relax, Copper will be here when your much better.
You know we are all great folks here and were not going to trash it, it's as much our other home as it is yours.
You and Shirley take care of yourselfs and each other. God Bless

I had my (HOPEFULLYT) 3rd CyberKnife® treatment yesterday.
Now I will have another MRI to determine how successfull it was coming up this next week.
1 Dr wants me to start Chemo to make sure and I'am so week right now I can hardly walk and have lost more vision in my right eye.
Shirley and I have decided not to have it at this time if I can help it.
During my last CyberKnife® treatment yesterday the Nurse was nice and took some picture's for me so when we get them developed I will get them posted with my CyberKnife® mask on before and after treatment.
Heck if I am still here I plan on wearing it on Halloween maybe I will get a BUNCH of treat's or get shot.

Keep up your spirits, please don't be overcome by Dysthymia. Sounds though like you're trying to keep a good attitude.I know how depressing a hospital can be, but you're outpatient or aren't you. It sounds too like you have good people on your side. Update!
Well I have learned that the best proposed plans of Mice & Men and Doctor’s can go south real quick.
My “3” day’s of chemo of “3” hr sessions each week were changed to “3” days” 5” hour chemo treatments.
So now I spend about 6-1/2 hours a day going, getting them and getting back home.
They said NO SICKNESS
Well that went out the door real QUICK so now on top of my other med’s I have sickness IV’s during treatments and then pills here at hospital.
And the part about losing my hair ?
Well that went out the door also as the treatment medicine was changed.
And the chemo treatments / IVs were also changed from the original plan’s to stronger chemo meds/
IVs and 5 different bags of IV’s for each daily treatment.
Ohh and the GOOD PART which Shirley/808 really loves!
I am NOT allowed to kiss her!
I am NOT allowed to sleep in the same bed with her.
Shirley is NOT allowed to wash my clothes with her clothes.
I must wear a MASK when outside or near people to avoid germs.
GREAT! now I will look like Uncle Hal the copper weatherman with a mask when my hair falls out and I am outside.
My weight now is 165 lbs and I weighed MORE that that when I wrestled the 180 classes in Junior High & Senior High School.
Heck I might even weigh LESS than the Forummaster now.
I will be in the Copper Forum when I can and the Voice Chat when I’m awake and during the Saturday night Voice Chat’s.
I want to Personally say Thank You! to the Copper Forummaster and the Copper Techs and Moderators for spending extra time in the Copper Forum reading and approving post’s while I am down.
And Thank You! Copper Forum Member’s for the Nice e-mails and your comments & support that you have shown to me and Shirley in the Copper Voice Chat.
Take care everyone and I will log in to the Copper Forum and Copper Voice Chat when I get a chance during the next 3 week as long as Shirley / 808xyl is not sleeping.
And Shirley and I will be in the Saturday Night Voice Chat's. even though my voice is about gone and if Shirley does not have to work on Saturday Night's.

Lon my friend, been thru the chemo thing and I know what you are going thru. It is not the most pleasant thing I ever went thru. Just be tough and hang in and fight like hell and I know you will make it thru it. It takes a hell of a lot to get the best of us old jarheads.

I have learned over the years to never worry about anything that I cannot control myself.
In the Marine Corp this is what is known as a minor FUBAR!
The Chemo?
Heck I will make it through that.
And the sickness has almost quit with the pill's they give me for sickness
The loss of hair?
Heck I am so good looking that I will look like a skinny Mr Clean!
The weight loss?
Well I needed that anyway.
The weakness?
I have all kinds of exercise equipment and Shirley/808xyl is a GREAT cook! As she owned her own restaurant when I met her.
Support?
I have PLENTY with all of you who are my Copper Forum Friend's & my family ie: Shirley & 7 kid's.
Heck going through USMC boot camp in July was tougher.
With the help & support of Shirley / 808xyl, of my family, the DR's and the friend's that I have made here in the Copper Forum and the Copper Forummaster and ALL of the Copper Electronic's staff I WILL BE OK!

GREAT NEW'S!
We got the report's back from 2 Dr's.
The CyberKnife® treatment to remove the tumor has WORKED!
The first 3 ~ 5hr chemo treatment went so-so but the sickness has stopped with med's.
I will have 6 more 5hr chemo trearment's on:
08/04 ~ 08/05 ~ 08/06
&
08/25 ~ 08/26 ~ 08/27
Only side effect's so far is some hair, & I have a loss of about 50% vision in my right eye as tumor was against optic nerve which they say may or may not come back and my memory comes & goes.
I and Shirley / 808xyl want to say Thank You! to everyone who has posted, called and e-mailed us with your continued support.
Your continued support has been a BIG HELP!

Thank You EVERYONE! for your continued thought's and prayer's.
Have last 2 chemo trements today and tomorrow.
Shirley and I thought this nitemare would be almost over but we were wrong.
Speech is way off, short term memory and some long term Memory is in and out.
Dr ordered New MRI for soft tissue that took close to 4 hours as I have now developped 2 now very larg tumors under my chin we found after exam & shaving my beard off.
It looks like I will be back in surgery on Monday unless they can get me in sooner.
Poor Shirley is going NUT's with this new finding and DR's and my chemo appts.
OH and both of my computers are down and being being repair so Iam using her's when I can.
I apopogize to the Copper Forummaster, Forum Tech's & Moderator's and Copper FOrum Member's for not being in here much and helping more.
A BIG Thank You goes out to all of the copper forum techs & moderator's for helping in the forum.
When I know more I will post it.

Well another operation / surgery is scheduled for 10am this coming Thursday September 10th with a Dr. to remove the 2 large tumor's attached to my jaw bone under my chin.
Guess I will not be eating or talking very good for awhile.
My insurance company & the Dr's LOVE ME!

Well I guess there is "1" Dr that does NOT love me! 
Surgery / operation was scheduled for 7AM yesterday morning.
Laying on the operating table waiting for new Dr (ear/nose/throat Dr. to come in and start he came in and said he changed his mind on what he was going to do.
He said he would not remove the tumors under my chin, as he wanted to do a biopsy of them first and then schedule another operation or two later to remove them.
And that I might need Chemo treatment's.
I told him my other 3 cancer Dr's had already done that and and that I had already had Chemo treatments on: July 14/15/16 ~ August 4th, 5th, 6th and August 25th, 26th and 27th and he said he was not the other 3 dr's and would not remove them until HE done another one.
And it could take 2 or 3 more biopsies for him to feel comfortable.
I informed him I was not there to support / finance him forever or for 2 or 3 operations on me when he could do everything at one time!
Needless to say he got highly upset and started to walk out and said WE ARE DONE HERE!
So being the Nice, Kind & Calm person that I'am I said your "RIGHT!" and got off the operating table and with my gown flapping walked out.
So for now Surgery on my chin/neck to remove tumor's is on hold until I see my other cancer Dr’s I have and get it re-scheduled again.

You seem to be as you said, a nice kind and calm person. Me on the other hand, LOL, gave a surgeon the D.A's after back surgery.
"DUH, I couldn't get it all, your Glucose was to high." After he said that, I got great pleasure from calling him a D.A. in recovery, he was the one that said NO MEDS or INJECTIONS. We told him how high it would go but as with your surgeon they suffer from the GOD syndrome and the EVEN IF I DON'T DO IT RIGHT YOU "WILL" PAY ME fever.

Well I thought the Dr's were done with me except for surgery to remove the 2 large lump's under my chin on my throat.
But after another CAT scan and a PET/CAT scat the Dr's decided I did not GLOW enough in the dark so I have another 21 hr's of chemo to get set for next Mon, Tue & Wed.
It seems like the fun just never stop's.

808 read about the Doc with the attitude, there are alot (not all) of 'em like that out there. I've simply asked a Dr. a question for my own information on what he was doing and he went nuts and ended up sending me a certified letter stating he would never see me of any of my family members again. Some Dr. need to be brought down a level or 2. |

Well the best layed plan's of Mice, Men and DR's can go totally out of whack.
After another CAT scan and another MRI they decided yesterday that I have to have more Chemo before they can perform surgery as the Tumor under my chin / throat has continued to grow.
Until they can stop it from growing surgery is on hold at this time.
It is also around my vocal cord's and my voice comes and goes as many of you know from talking/chatting with me in the Copper Voice Chat.
I will have Chemo again starting: 11/2 ~ 11-3 & 11-4 and then I get a week off and then more chemo on 11/23 / 11-24 & 11-25
Hopefully it will work this time.

I don't know what era you served the USMC so I have a question. If you served in Nam as so many did, were you ever exposed to Agent Orange? Not trying to hit any nerves, just so many on the ground and in choppers were exposed.

Well it has been a BAD last 5 week's here for me.
For this last set of chemo treatmen they changed the amount & type of chemo I was getting.
My voice comes and goes (mostly goes) after a few minutes of talking. I have been retaining a lot of fluids generally about 8 to 10 lbs per chemo treatment.
So needless to say I have been getting a lot of lassix to get the fluid away from my heart.
Hopefully this is the last chemo I will need.
I have 2 canacer Dr appt's coming up, one later next week and 1 in Jan, 2010 so they can decide what or when they want to do more surgery.
I feel a little better today so I will keep everyone posted on any updates.
I hope everyone had a good thanksgiving and ate everything that I could not have.

I feel a little better today.
After seeing DR yesterday I got some bad & good news.
BAD News:
I have lost so much weight and my immune system is so week/low after the last 6 weeks of chemo that they have postponed any surgery for at least 6 weeks.
Since this started I originally weighed about 225/230 and felt GREAT! at 6'1"
Tuesday I tipped the scales at a WHOOPING 146 lbs.
I can only talk for maybe 10 or 15 minutes before loosing my voice due to tumor on my vocal cords as most Team Speak member's know.
GOOD NEW's

So for now it is a waiting game.
After having open brain surgery almost 2 years ago now for a brain tumor on the LEFT side my brain and then this Tumor on RIGHT side of brain removed by Cyber Knife surgery, I feel VERY LUCKY to just be here.
And "IT DOES NOT" bother Shirley / 808xyl and I to get a well needed rest and wait.

Lon, does the Dr/'s want you to gain any of the weight back? Getting a 6 week break has got to be good, but once it's all over and your on the ups to getting better and feeling better is the real blessing. God Bless

Some of the Copper Forum Member's have noticed and contacted me that I have not been as active in the Copper Electronic's Forum, Copper Voice Chat Program, and Posting as I have been in the past.
This in no way has anything to do with the Copper Forummaster, the Copper Electronic's Forum, or any of the Copper Forum Member's.
Due to old and new ongoing health problem's I cannot be as active or productive as I have been in the past.
I fully support the Copper Forummaster, the Copper Electronic's Forum, the Copper Electronic's Voice Chat program and the CEF Radio Club 100% and I alway's will!
And it has been my pleasure to meet and get to know so many of the Copper Forum Member's over the year's.

Shirley and I are both doing GREAT!
Sorry for no update lately but I have been waiting until I and Shirley could talk to all 7 of our children.
Our daughter Tesa ~ Tddtime, Copper Forum & CVC Member came down last weekend and we got everything settled.
I will continue to have Cat scans & MRI's to monitor my brain & tumor under my chin on jawbone which continue's to grow no matter what.
But other than another Cyber Knife surgery if needed I will not accept or take any more Chemo or Radiation treatment's.
I have an MRI & Cat scan coming up in May.I have had it with Chemo & Radiation treatment's.
I believe that no matter what they do everyone's days are numbered and there is nothing I can do.
When my time is Up it is Up! no matter what I or any Dr's do.
When it is up, I will know that I have always done everything that I wanted to do with no regret’s.
Shirley and all 7 of our children respect and will honor my wishe's.
There is a time in everyone's life when enough is enough and I have reached that poit.
I want to say Thank You! to the Copper Forummaster (Chester), the Copper Tech (Paul) and Suzanne (Copper Customer Service) and all of my friend's that I have made here on the Copper Forum, and the CEF and CVC member's.
Heck I may just stick around until I'am 100 just to bug everyone.
