would upgrading my wilson 2000 trucker to the wilson 5000 trucker make a noticeable difference in how my radio will perform?.....

Depends on if you are adding more power. If not, then the 5000's probably not worth the extra expense. I can tell you that I just installed a Solarcon A-67 "Thunderbolt" (available @Copper) on the advice of some people in the "antenna forum". They were right, this antenna SMOKES !! EZ to tune and can handle 20,000 watts. Really improved my receive ability and clarity on a Galaxy 88 with a Texas Star 667 amp. Weird looking, but it sure works.
