Have you wanted to make a chili, but thought it was to hard to do? Well I have the best, and easy, chili recipe. And I will share it with you, because i am a sharing kind of guy!

Things you will need to make Mike‘s Easy Chili::

* A big pot
* Frying pan
* 1 package of Chili mix
* 3 cans of red kidney beans
* 1 can of Campbells Chunky Chili,
* Ketchup
* Mustard
* BBQ sauce
* 1 jar of spaghetti sauce
* 1 pound of hamburger

First thing you need to do is get all the stuff your going to use together to be sure you have everything you need to make the chili. Then it's time to get your hands dirty.......well kinda. It is very easy to make!

First thing you do is empty 3 cans of red kidney beans into a big pot. Also start to brown your one pound of hamburger at this time as well.

Add 2/3 to a whole package of dried chili mix, and stir it in, and have the heat on medium under you pot.

Then my secret ingredients: mustard, ketchup and BBQ sauce. Just add what you think is enough, then a little more and you'll be good to go!

Now stir it all together and be sure it is well mixed.

My second secret ingredient is a can of Campbells Chunky Chili mix. The kind you buy and heat up if you don't make your own. Any kind will do, this adds some spices you may not think of adding, and it just adds something to the base of the chili that makes the chili work better I think.

Then add one jar of spaghetti sauce to the pot. Just meat sauce, unless you want to add veggies, then use whatever sauce you want to.

Give it a good stir, and once it is all nicely blended together it is time to add the hamburger to the pot.

Now bump the heat to high and stir it till it gets a nice velvet look to it. Then turn the heat of and serve. But the best thing it to cover it and let it sit for a few hours, maybe 4 or 5. Then slowly reheat and serve!

And you will be the talk of the town when people get a taste. And you will see this is an easy chili to make!

Mike,
Thank you, the chili is excellent. I made it last night and served it to the family tonight (all except my wife who is finicky) along with cornbread/honey butter. Mostly, I don't cook except BBQ (meaning briquettes/wood, no gas) and venture occasionally into the kitchen to make spaghetti/raviolis and a big mess.
Thanks again,
Dan

Well I am glad you tried it Dan, like I said it's easy and you get a good chili out of it. Maybe not the "best" in the world, but darn good if you ask me!

This is a recipe for Chili I’ve made for friends and family. I think it’s easy to make and will warm you on a cold day. With a couple of changes it can bring tears to your eyes.

1 pound lean ground beef (hamburger will do)
½ pound ground pork sausage (mild or hot depends on your taste)
2 cans stewed tomatoes (whole or chopped)
1 small can of tomato paste
1 large onion (chopped fine)
2 medium jalapeno peppers
1 package chili season mix
2 cans red kidney beans (drain and rinse)
1 can black beans (drain and rinse)
1 can whole kernel corn (drain and rinse)
½ tspn salt
½ tspn black pepper
½ tspn chili powder

Blend the salt, pepper and chili powder in a small bowl and keep on hand. This works well as a rub for ribs and other meats too.

Cut the stems out of the jalapenos, remove the seeds and seed pods, rinse the peppers and chop fine.

In a large pot drizzle 2 tbsp olive or vegetable oil, using your hand rub the bottom and up the sides of the pot as far as you can get with the oil.

Blend the ground beef and sausage together.

Place the pot on medium heat and when hot add the blended meat and chop as fine as possible. When the meat is near done add a couple of pinches of salt, pepper, chili powder blend, chopped jalapeno and chopped onion.

When onion is translucent add stewed tomatoes by squeezing them through your hand and add tomato paste and two cups of water, stir to a boil, add packaged season mix and stir till well mixed.

Stir in red beans, black beans and corn. Cover and reduce heat to low boil for 15-20 minutes. Use remainder of salt, pepper, chili powder mix to season to taste.

Add some crackers and enjoy in a bowl.
Or pour over a bed of spaghetti then top with brown sugar, raw chopped onion and crated cheese for Cincinnati Chili.
