Has anyone had both of these antennas to compare the 2 of them?They are both the same price and are both 5/8 wave.The only difference that I can see is that One is aluminum and one is fiberglass.

I'm currently running the "Starduster" clone sold at Copper Electronics and LOVE it.

I used to run an Alpha v5/8 and liked it quite a bit aside from the fact that I couldn't get a low SWR throughout the band. In fact, I couldn't hardly get an SWR of below 1.5 on ANY frequency.

I have a few friends who run the IMAX 2000. At 24' total length, they say it "sways in the wind" a little too much for their liking and one of them has even had the antenna snap off at the base. The top portion of the antenna is very scrawny.
