Well after a year and a half of fighting to keep my house after the now ex-wife left, I had to face the cold hard truth. I can't afford it. My unemployment is gone, I have been out of work for 11 months. So I called the mortgage company and told them I wanted to give it back. They were not to thrilled, but I am not alone in my troubles. I know of 2 other friends who are in the same boat. So I have started to pack what little I can take with me, and that means the radio is now off the air and packed away. I will be moving to Florida in the the next 2 months or so. I hope to get some work, and a small place where I hope to setup my radio once again. I will miss the radio, but I need to find work. I will have my DSL a little longer, so I will still be here on the forum, but that will be going soon as well. I will try and check in when I can, and once I get settle in where ever that might be, I will be sure to be back on the forum once again. Life is about changes, and while it is sad to lose everything, it's kinda nice to start over as well. And I think this is a chance for me to restart my life and be a much happier man in the end. So I will key up from the sandpile when I can, until then, keep on keeping on forum!

Well Mike, The Sandpile can use good guy like you so come on down, there will be lots of work here cleaning up the oil in the gulf if nothing else.
Good Luck and let me know where in Fl, it not far off from central Fl we can make an eyeball contact.

You have the right attitude, Mike! Keep up the good work. Yes, life is about changes. This can be a positive one for you too. You're not losing "everything". You still have your freedom and life, that is all it really comes down to anyway.
For your next QTH, keep an eye open for a hilltop!

The wife just reminded me of something. You work in security right? If you're prison capable, Rock Island in Ft Pierce would be one place to start. Then the unit down at the big lake in Okeechobee and the facility in Martin county.
If it's standard security you might try the theme parks in the Orlando area.

i know what its like to start over .not easy but
it usually works out in the end .back in 08 i
i couldnt afford my place anymore so i know what
