Hi folks,
Greetings from New Zealand.
Just to let you know a few things about the earthqaukes.I am on the North Island and Christchurch on South island.Approx 450 miles seperation.Christchurch has a population of approx.386,000.The major quakes were only moments apart and reportably felt in Hamilton but I did not notice them.Destruction in Christchurch is huge.Miraculacy no deaths but at least 2 major injuries.One taxi driver was in his car when a brick wall facade crash on him.One person has died from heart failure.Thankfully in some ways the quakes struck early on Saturday morning when most people were at home and in in the worst hit areas.Due to the liquifaction most resisdential suburbs have no running water or waste water disposal.Sewage and water mains have ruptured casue flooding.A sub hurrican storm is about to hit the area today,Sunday.Give this some thought.Until something like this happens many do not have or consider a survival plan i.e.some means of self survival for ones family and self for at least 3 days.
Finally,no 11m skip has been heard from North America or for that matter anywhere for sometime now.

Kiwikid;
Keep us up to date as best you can. Any damage from the Hurricane? Friends and family safe? Been looking for news out of your area but I'm on antennas so I have to catch PBS out of Orlando FL, US.

Hi Team,thanks for the replies and thoughts.Friends and family AOK.Sorry have not been back here earlier.It was reported we had the worlds largest storm bare down on us.Plenty of wind and rain.No major calamities.We are now into Spring time but the weather is still very unstable.It is starting to warm up now so hopefully things will get a chance to dry out.73rds to all untill I check in again
