WOW!!!
I received in the mail today,Friday 18th.Feb. Coppers Catalogue Vol.41 Issue 1.
What date was this released?There is no indication on it as to when it was printed.I vaguely remember requesting a catague many years ago and nothing came of it.At the time I beleive I was declined as I was residing outside USA.Perhaps this is a sales drive.Nice reading but no buying as our NZ$ is only worth US$00.76 cents and any freight cost are outter this world!

I have requested a catalog so many times and never got one. I finally gave up. This was back in the late 80s thru the 90s. Thank goodness for the computer age. |

This is a big problem in our office. Customers call in complaining they didn't receive the catalog they requested. We check and yes we did send out a catalog so we send out another. The same customer calls back in and says he didn't receive his catalog. This happens a couple of times every week.
I don't know what happens to these catalogs. Once a customer told us he discovered that someone at the post office was taking his.

The post office does a magnificent job of mutilating every Copper catalog ever sent to me. The exception is the times they are mailed in an envelope, those make it just fine.
If not in an envelope, several pages are always missing. My guess is if the page with the address is one of the pages 'removed', then the catalog never shows up at its destination.
These days, it is nearly impossible to expect anything not in an envelope to arrive intact. The post office is not what it once was. In fact, they care even less!

Just about 99.9 % of every home in America has a PC.
A pdf catalog would be good and then just download your copy and print out if you like. Sure beat the cost Copper has to pay to send out catalogs.
I have gotten one just about 2 weeks ago.
It's all in Black and White and sorry to say the photo's are very hard to see.
How if we had one to download and print out ourselves then the photo's could be taken with a digital camera.
Also this savings on postage could be passed on to us other wise the cost to send out catalogs are going to be passed on to us in the prices of what we buy from Copper.
Just a thought and my 2 cents spent. |

Keep in mind, not everyone has high speed internet access. In fact, although estimates are that 90% of the U.S. has broadband "available", the fact is that 90% is a pipe dream. And, for those that do have broadband "available", not 100% subscribes. Several still use dialup. A .pdf catalog would take hours to download for the majority of Americans, even in this day and age. Besides, a print catalog is not only traditional, it's classy.

i recieved in the mail today acopper catalog:
it was sealed with three tabs,and arrived in excellent condition,better then soime of my mail arravies

nothing else to say here then.
other then hope all that gets a Copper Catalog can read the prints and see the photos, last one I got wasn't very good in black and white. But I understand trying to keep cost down.
what happens when you go cheap, you get what you payed for.
Please don't take this as I'm putting Copper down. but the prints need to be better.

This is a bit off topic but as I was looking at my copper catalog. I was thinking to myself that it was like back in the early 90's reading the catalog. I hope that in the future nothing changes and it stays the same.

Apart from that I like the convenience of a printed catalog - I can read it in the restroom or even while soaking in the bath. hate to try THAT with a laptop, iPad or whatever - lol
