And go dig me a hole before the weather gets too cold and the ground freezes. 10m is coming in strong from Brazil and I don't have anything up.
I only have a piece of wire strung up along the basement ceiling for listening purposes.
Guess I need to take a trip to cincy and "steal" my buddies post hole digger for a couple of days.
Ive got some bags of Quick-crete handy and one of those 25 foot telescoping T.V. masts But was planning on at least 35-40 feet of mast from Radio Shack.
Maybe I should go to the hardware store and grab a 12 foot section of Heavy Duty PVC for the top as a temporary mast. Since that will eventually break, mount it all on a 4x4 concreted into the hole to make it "Easier to service".
Don't have any Antenna wire handy BuT I do have a very heavy duty 100 foot extension cord where the dog chewed through part of the insulation.
Unfortunately it was unplugged at the time (D##M Chihuahuas).
No balun hanging around waiting to be put to use even though I do have 50 feet of coax handy (Radio Shack) But I do have some 450Ohm feed line (Lost somewhere in my basement of doom and Pepsi Zero/Hamshack).
Pretty sure I can come up with some end insulators...........

Put one up in your crawl space, just a dipole should work or hang a square from /around a window<temporary>.
10 is best it has been in 9 years..wrkd AFRICA the other day with 25 watts and a invee.
