Tektronix 2236 for under $270.00 (Including Shipping)Freshly serviced and Calibrated and a pair of generic 1x-10x probes.
The 2236 has the built in frequency counter/Timer/DMM and if you can find them Temperature probes so you can check semiconductor temps while you are experimenting etc.
The guy had a 100% feedback score and 1300+ transactions. Still has 1 more 2236 left along with a few other Tektronix models.
While searching around the internet for the manual I came across a store that was selling the same model refurbed for $1600.00 I really got lucky on this one 
There was somebody on here looking for a scope not long ago So I thought I would post this.

Just received the scope last night. Has a few minor issues but I hope the seller makes it right since he refurbs them and has a 100% feedback. Just sent him off an E-mail.
The DMM display didn't work like it showed in the auction photo.
Since it wasn't insured I opened it up to check for damage. Come to find out both ribbon cables were loose from the DMM/Counter display.
I re attached them and it lights up again.
Now the only problem I see is with the Upper / Lower function switch for the DMM will not engage. It's one of those Push on/Push off switches which would be a pain if I had to hold it in while measuring around a circuit board.
Since he has more than one of the same model I am hoping he has a "Donor" unit that he would be willing to pull the module out of so I can swap it out and fix the problem.
After all he does have a 14 day return policy and sells them as being freshly "calibrated". So if I can fix it myself if he will send the needed part instead of returning it etc.......

Congrats on the scope.
Several years back (whuile still in Australia), the company my dad worked for decided to auctuion off some un-needed item, one of which was tektronix scope that staed conditioon unknown. I placed a $5 bid, thinking I'd get that much out of it as usuable parts. Won the scope and got it home.
Plugged it in got a green dot on the display and that was all. At this point I realized it was the model that had plug in replaceable modules, so unplugged all the modulesd, cleaned the contacts and replaced them. Voila - I now had a full working scope that went to 50Mhz and included swap in signal generatore module. Totla cost $5 and 30 minutes labour.
When I left Australia for Oregon I sold it for $200

Now that things have quieted down around here (Grandkid/Invalid wife in bed) and there's less impediment on my time I dug a little deeper into the scope.
In the E-Bay auction they showed the DMM/Counter lit up. It wasn't working when I got it. I Slid the unit partially out of the case that night and noticed that the 2 ribbon cables were not connected.
I re-attached the cables (tight stretch)and the display now works though it is a bit hard to read/should be a bit brighter.
Tonight I pulled it completely out of the cabinet. Come to find out, that 1 of the 3 sets of plastic alignment pins along the side was broke along with a piece that says BOARD LOCK was not engaged.
NO WONDER the upper/lower function switch didn't work. even though the switches were sticking out of the holes, It was recessed just enough that you couldn't press it in far enough to engage the locking mechanism. not being familiar with the scope I didn't realize this.
So now I am down to the DMM display issue and whatever I find after that.
Pulled the display board and got the numbers off of it.
