Are you listing it in the CB radio section ? If so try listing in the Amateur radio section .

thanks i sold it and the guy says two pills are bad because its not doing six hundred i told him its all ways only done about 400 or so is that what it should do i have all ways found them to do less than what they say does any one know what the pill number is and how much they are incase he wants me to buy him a couple thanks |

is the amp still in your hands? if so pop off the cover and see what transisters [pills] are in it.
im thinking it has 4x 2879 if so then 400 watts
sounds really close to max power.also on ssb
you can use up too 50 watts pep ,not sure on am
i think he,s tring to rip ya off

no he has it and he thinks it should do 600 i told him 400 sounds right to me i dont want it back after he had the covers off but if thats what he wants to keep the peace i was going to pay for two pills but he says its broke i just hope when i get it back its not thanks, |

Like Dale says the 2sc2879 is rated at 100w, but at 27 mhz they are usually only about 70% efficient so 4X70=280 watts AM with a little more on SSB.

I wouldn't take it back, I would go with him to a tech and then you both can hear what it should do and is doing from the tech at the same time.
But I tell you this, it's never going to do 600 watts even with 4 new pills in it. 400 watts is about all it's going to push.
"As Is" it's yours now.
