I never thought I'd get attached to an animal in my life, but I did. And I cried when we lost him !!!
Now I have a Pug and we treat him like a son !

I'm sorry for your loss, it's very hard.

We've lost so many pets over the years and each one was like a child. One of our cats waited till I came home from work so he could go in my arms. One dog suffered with liver disease (caused by Chinese dog food) and I had to beg my wife to let her go. Often it is better to let go than to prolong it for them.
Sorry for your loss RW, we know how it feels!

Crackshot;

We had a Maine Coon! The most intelligent cat we've ever had. Never had a cat that would try to share its' food. He would not put his face in a food bowl but would use his paw to scoop the food out. I'd talk to him at times about his food and he'd push his kibble toward me and meow, meow, meow. When I came home from work he'd meet me at the door and tell me all about his day.
The sailors at the beginnings of America kept Maine Coons on board ship for mousers. They say the MCs were the reasons for the Tabby because they'd jump ship and bread. Must have been Navy officers.

my last 2 dogs that died I had cremated and their ashes are in containers over my computer desk.one in 2008 and the other in 2012. both were 13 years old when they died. I have 2 more that I bought in 2008 and these will be my last. have a hard time now losing pets. when I was younger it hurt but not as bad as it does now.

I know exactly what you mean Sonoma. We also recently lost our COCKETEIL bird we had for 25 years besides our beloved dog Candy.
